I first had the idea for CARE-fully Packed! I also turned 17! I have been sincerely passionate about foster care and adoption since my early childhood, and I have always desired to be able to make a difference in the lives of children in foster care. When I learned that children enter the system with practically no belongings and then are only provided with a trash bag, I knew that I had the ability to redress that inequity. Let the research and form filing begin! I used my own money that I earned babysitting to pay all of the start-up costs and application fees!
